A group of CEDA members met in Chicago, IL on July 10, 2003 to discuss
various initiatives in insect science of importance for the next five
years. The consensus of the discussion was that entomological
activities must protect our security, health, and economy, while
enhancing scientific literacy in the populace. This consensus
resulted in the entomological priorities listed below that were
developed with the help of the entomological community in the United
States. Each priority area is linked to what we believe are
important for consideration by entomologists, policy makers, and
funding agencies.
